The Chinese Teacher Tell You What is the Top 10 Chinese Catchwords

When it comes to the Chinese teachers, you may find they just teach some language knowledge concerning with Chinese. However, as a modern Chinese teacher, I want to teach the language in a special way in which the language may seem to be more interesting and funnier.
In this class, let us list some popular Chinese catchwords on the internet.
The first one is “约吗(yue1 ma5)”. It has been widely used in people’s daily communication especially in the wechat and weibo. The meaning can be guessed from itself. That means “you want to have a date?”
The second is “也是醉了(ye3shi4 zui4 le5)”. More and more people like to use it to describe their feeling when they find something was out of their expectation or something is speechless.
The next one is “给跪了(gei3gui4 le5)”. We all know “(gui4)” means “kneel”. Only when we yield to someone else will we kneel down. However, this phrase has some new meanings on the internet which means “Give me a break”, a slang in America.
Tom’s Chinese tutor was explaining the difference between “的,得,地”. During this lesson, she always mentioned a sentence “那么问题来了(na4me5 wen4 ti2 lai2 le5)” to attract Tom’s attention. So this is also a popular catchword on the internet. We can translate it into “Here comes the question.”
If you do not trust in what others say, what will you reply to him? Here is a catchword for you. “我读书少,表骗我(wo3du2 shu1 shao3 biao3 pian4 wo3)”. The literal meaning is “Do not take advantage of my illiteracy.”
Some other sentences like “有钱就是任性(you3qian2 jiu4 shi4 ren4 xing4), “整个人都不好了(zheng3ge4 ren2 dou1 bu4 hao3 le5)” , “也是蛮拼的(ye3shi4 man2 pin1 de5”, “画面太美不敢看(hua4mian4 tai4 mei3 bu4 gan3 kan4)” and “做个安静的美男子(zuo4ge4 an1 jing4 de5 mei3 nan2 zi5)” are listed in the top 10.
As a mandarin teacher, I have to remind you that these words or sentences can be only used on some informal situations. Do be careful.
