Chinese language. Recently, a Chinese TV show has arouse many people’s
attention and interest. In this Chinese
lesson, let us have a look at this popular TV show called “奔跑吧兄弟(ben1 pao3 ba1 xiong1 di4)”.
Actually, it is originated from a Korean TV
show “Running Man”. There are seven siblings in this show. In each column, they
have to finish the different tasks. Some of the tasks is of great challenge and
risk, and some others are filled with great entertainment.
Because we are aiming at Chinese learning,
let’s come to see the language points in it. First of all, what does the title “奔跑吧兄弟(ben1 pao3 ba1 xiong1 di4)” mean? “奔跑(ben1 pao3 )” means “running” and “兄弟” means brothers. So this title can be translated as “run
together, brothers”.
Actually, “奔跑吧” can be
applied in other utterances. For example, “奔跑吧，2015(ben1
pao3 ba1)”, which was first put forward by Zhejiang Satellite TV. It is a kind
of “正能量(zheng4 enng2 liang4)”, which encourages people
to go forward in the coming year of 2015. And then this word was widely used on
the internet, such as “奔跑吧, 姐妹(ben1
pao3 ba1 jie3 mei4)”.
When we talk about this TV show, i want to
mention the spirit advocated in it. That is “勇气, 信念(yong3 qi4 xin4 nian4)”. “勇气(yong3 qi4)” means courage and “信念(xin4 nian4)” is the belief. Each time when you want
to give up, just say “hold on” to yourself. The hope just stands before you.
You need to trust your partners because “团结就是力量(tuan2
jie2 jiu4 shi4 li4 liang4)”. It is also the most impressive points of this
show.
